Consumer Web Portal

The NCI is partnering with major information technology companies to develop easy-to-use online portals where consumers can collect, store, and manage their medical and health information securely, and share some or all of it with their physicians and with researchers, if they so desire.

A sample website, called "My Cancer eLIFE", is shown below as a model.

By launching such a portalŚcalled My Cancer eLIFEŚorganizations can help their members towards the best clinical outcomes, and more and more consumers can have the opportunity to contribute their health information to accelerate research and drive better treatments for all.
